This Pine bowl was handmade by me in my small workshop on a lathe. Turned, sanded, sealed and finished with food safe danish oil and a blend of mineral oil and natural beeswax and laser engraved with its origin details

The log for this bowl came from a falled tree on a local church grounds and was given to me.
 
It was rough turned and allowed to dry over months. Once dry it was re-turned to its final shape, sanded and finished with a food safe danish oil. The bark was retained on this natural edged bowl, giving the piece plenty of character and texture.
 
It measures 243mm x 195mm x 120mm
 
Well suited as a small snacks/fruit bowl or decorative centrepiece.
 
Being a natural material, it is still susceptible to movement with change in temperature and humidity. Clean with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not immerse in water.
 
While this bowl has been finished with a food safe danish oil, it would benifit from a polish from time to time. My homemade food safe rejuvenating wax for this bowl (or any wooden utensils) is available here.
